Order for recognition of foreign education documents

             The procedure for recognition of foreign documents on education (nostrification) aims to ensure the rights of citizens who have received education in other states, for the continuation of education, professional activity in Ukraine and is carried out individually or Academy according to paid services.

The recognition of foreign education documents in Ukraine is carried out in full compliance with the Convention on the recognition of higher education qualifications in the European region, which is ratified by the relevant Law of Ukraine on 03.12.1999. No. 1273-XIV, and recommendations of this Convention.

As a result of the recognition procedure, the owner of foreign documents on education receives a certificate confirmed by the right of the owner of documents issued by the educational institution of another state to continue education or employment in a specialty educational institution of Ukraine or in institutions throughout the territory of Ukraine. The issuance of such a certificate is carried out on the basis of the decision of the competent authority – Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

The procedure for recognizing foreign education documents includes the verification of authentic documents, confirmation of the status of educational institution and /or educational program, assessment of qualifications or period of study, and establishment of equivalence of educational or educational and professional degree in Ukraine, academic and /or professional rights. The regulatory act that regulates the procedure is the order of  Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine dated 05.05.2015 №504.
