I. General provisions

 

  1. Implementation of educational activities in a private higher educational institution “International Academy of Ecology and Medicine” is carried out in accordance with the licenses of the Ministry of education and science of Ukraine (AE series No. 270728, date of issue July 02, 2013), minutes No. 27/1 of the meeting of the Licensing Commission of the Ministry of education and science of Ukraine on November 22, 2016, order of the Ministry of education and science No. 1499-L on November 25, 2016, minutes No. 27/2 of the meeting of the Licensing Commission of the Ministry of education and science of Ukraine on November 22, 2016, order of the Ministry of education and science No. 1499-L on November 25, 2016 based on the order of the Ministry of education and science No. 1007-L “On the implementation of the decision of the District Administrative Court of Kiev No. 640/12300/19 on September 09, 2019 and the decision of the sixth Administrative Court of appeal No. a/855/18639/19 on December 03,2019” on December 11, 2019.

Private higher education institution “International Academy of Ecology and Medicine” announces admission educational programs of the second (Master’s) level of education in the field of knowledge 22″ Healthcare”, Specialty 221 “Dentistry”, 222 “Medicine” (approved by the Academic Council of private Higher Education Institution “International Academy of Ecology and Medicine”, Protocol No. 5 on December 27, 2019).

  1. Admission to the private higher education institution “International Academy of Ecology and Medicine” is carried out on a competitive basis at the expense of individuals and legal entities (on the basis of an agreement between the Academy and the applicant (with the participation of parents or legal representatives – for minor applicants).
  2. Rules of admission to the private higher education institution “International Academy of Ecology and Medicine” in 2021 (hereinafter referred to as – Rules) developed by the admissions committee of private Higher Education Institution “International Academy of Ecology and Medicine” in accordance with the conditions of admission to study for higher education in 2021, approved by the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine No. 1274 on October 15, 2020 and registered with the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine on December 09, 2020 for No. 1225/35508, the law of Ukraine No. 2299 on December 18, 2019 “On amendments to certain legislative acts of Ukraine concerning the improvement of educational activities in the field of higher education”, changes in the procedure for organizing recruitment and Training (Internship) of foreigners and stateless persons, approved by Order No. 1265 of the Ministry of education and science of Ukraine on October 12, 2020.

The rules of admission to the International Academy of Ecology and medicine (hereinafter referred to as the Academy) in 2021 were approved by the Academic Council of the Academy (Protocol No. 5 on December 29, 2020) and the decision of the admissions committee (protocol No. 51 on December 24, 2020).

  1. The organization of admission of applicants to the Academy is carried out by the admissions committee, the composition of which was approved by the rector’s Order No. 105-OD on December 29, 2020. The chairman of the admissions committee is the rector. The admissions committee acts in accordance with the regulations on the admissions committee of private higher education institution “International Academy of Ecology and Medicine”, approved by the Academic Council of the Academy (protocol No. 11 on April 23, 2018), in accordance with the regulations on the admissions committee of the Higher Educational Institution, approved by the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine No. 1085 on October 15, 2015, registered with the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine on November 04, 2015 for No. 1353/27798. The regulations on the admissions committee of the Academy are published on its official website maem.kiev.ua.

The structural subdivision of the admissions committee is the selection committee, whose functions are related to the verification of documents and ensuring the procedure of enrollment of foreign citizens and stateless persons for training.

The Rector of the Academy ensures compliance with the legislation of Ukraine, including the Terms of Admission to Higher Education Institutions of Ukraine in 2021, the Rules of Admission to the International Academy of Ecology and Medicine in 2021, as well as openness and transparency of the admissions committee.

  1. The decision of the admissions committee, taken within its powers, is the basis for the issuance of the relevant order by the head of the Academy and the implementation of the procedures of the admission campaign.
  2.   All issues related to admission to the Academy are resolved by the admissions committee at its meetings. The decisions of the admissions committee are published on the official website of the Academy no later than the next day after the decision.

Opening hours for the admission committee: Monday – Friday from 9:00 to 17:00;  July 14 – July 23  from 9:00 to 18:00.

  1. In the Rules of Admission to the Academy in 2021, the terms are used in the following meanings:

       entrance examination – a form of entrance examination, which involves assessing the knowledge, skills and abilities of the entrant in a competitive subject, the results of which are included in the competitive score of the applicat, or the results of which the applicant is allowed to participate in competitive selection or other entrance examinations;

       applicant – a person who has submitted an application (s) for admission to participate in the competitive selection for one (several) competitive proposals;

competitive proposala proposal of a higher education institution regarding the number of places for admission to a certain level of higher education, educational program, form of education, course, list of competitive subjects, term of study based on the obtained educational level or degree (educational qualification level). There are open, fixed and non-budget bids. Open bids are included in the broad bid. If the tender combines several educational programs, etc., the Admission Rules specify the order of distribution of students between them and the timing of the election of candidates for a Master’s degree in Medicine) on the basis of complete general secondary education not earlier than the first year teaching);

       competitive scorea comprehensive assessment of the applicant’s achievements, which is calculated based on the results of entrance examinations and other competitive indicators with an accuracy of 0.001 in accordance with the Terms and these Rules of admission;

        competitive selectionthe procedure of selection of applicants for competitive proposals on the basis of competitive points of entrants for higher education (on a competitive basis);

       competitive subjectan academic subject (discipline), the level of educational achievements from which is taken into account during the competitive selection for higher education;

      rating list of applicants – the list of applicants in the order of enrollment in the competitive proposal, which is formed in accordance with these Terms and Conditions of admission;

      professional test – a form of entrance examination for admission on the basis of acquired (or such) degree or educational qualification level of higher education, which involves testing the ability to master the educational program of a certain level of higher education on the basis of previously acquired competencies;

The term “voucher” is used in the meaning given in the Law of Ukraine “On Employment”.

Other terms are used in the meanings given in the Law of Ukraine “On Higher Education”.

II. Admission to higher education

  1. Foreigners and stateless persons, including foreign Ukrainians permanently residing in Ukraine, persons who are recognized as refugees, and persons in need of additional protection, have the right to receive higher education on an equal basis with citizens of Ukraine.
  2. In order to be eligible to apply, you need to:

– have obtained a complete general secondary education or educational and qualification level of a junior specialist, educational and professional degree of a professional junior bachelor in the relevant field – to obtain a master’s degree in medical direction;

– have obtained a master’s degree (educational and qualification level of a specialist) in the relevant field, – to obtain the degree of doctor of philosophy in specialties of medical direction.

Future Students who have previously received the same or higher degree (level) of higher education or have been receiving it for at least one year and fully complete the individual curriculum are also eligible for obtaining a higher education degree in another specialty. The condition for enrollment of a higher education applicant for simultaneous study in another specialty at the Academy or in another higher education institution is to meet the requirements similar to those for applicants to the relevant educational programs. These requirements can be met during the first year of study.

  1. Applicants on the basis of complete general secondary education can be accepted to the first year of the program.
  2. Applicants who have obtained the educational and qualification level of a junior specialist, the educational and professional degree of a professional junior bachelor in the relevant fiels are accepted for the second year; such applicants are re-credited with ECTS credits in accordance with the standard of higher education: specialty 221 Dentistry – 30 credits, specialty 222 Medicine – 60 credits.
  3. Applicants for higher education of the educational and qualification level of a specialist on the basis of complete general secondary education or educational and qualification level of a junior medical specialist who have been expelled or interrupted in connection with academic leave have the right to be renewed to continue their studies for obtaining a master’s degree in the same or related specialty within the field of knowledge.
  4. Admission is carried out in specialties 221 “Dentistry”, 222 “Medicine” in accordance with the List of branches of knowledge and specialties in which training of higher education No. 266, approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on April 29, 2015.
  5. For applicants who need accommodation in a dormitory during admission to the Academy, one bed-place is provided for the period of passing the entrance exams.
  6. For applicants with special educational needs, the premises are equipped on the basis of the Department of Fundamental Disciplines at the address: st. Szymanowski, 2, room 1001.

The building is equipped with elevators and ramps.

III. Sources of funding for higher education

  1. Financing of training of applicants for higher education is carried out:

– at the expense of individuals and / or legal entities (under the terms of the agreement).

– at the expense of grants that the Academy may receive for research, which provides for the training of graduates of the degree of Doctor of Philosophy.

IV. Volumes of reception

 

  1. Admission to the Academy is carried out within the licensed volume for each specialty. Admission to the second year is carried out within the limit of vacant places of the licensed volume. Exceeding the licensed amount is allowed in case of continuing education by persons who took a break from study for reasons specified by law, as well as in cases provided by law and by court decision (paragraph 7 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 347 on May 10, 2018 and Cabinet Resolution Ministers of Ukraine No. 1187 on December 30, 2015).
  2. Competitive proposals for admission to training:

221 “Dentistry” – term of study 5 years – full-time form of study – 60 people,

222 “Medicine” – term of study 6 years – full-time form of study – 60 people.

The volumes of admission to the tender proposals are published on the official website of the Academy: maem.kiev.ua.

V. Features of admission of foreigners and stateless persons

 

Admission to higher education institutions of foreigners and stateless persons is carried out in accordance with the Laws of Ukraine “On Higher Education”, “On the Legal Status of Foreigners and Stateless Persons”, “On Ukrainians Abroad”, “On Refugees and Persons in Need of Additional or of temporary protection “, Decree of the President of Ukraine on June 3, 1994 for No. 271, “On measures to develop economic cooperation of regions of Ukraine with adjacent regions of the Republic of Belarus and administrative-territorial units of the Republic of Moldova”, Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on September 11, 2013 for No. 684 recruitment for training of foreigners and stateless persons “, the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine No. 1541 on  November 1, 2013 ” Some issues of recruitment and training (internship) of foreigners and stateless persons “, registered in the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine on November 25, 2013 for No. 2004/24536, Amendments to the Procedure for the organization of recruitment and training (internships) foreigners and stateless persons approved by the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine No.1265 on October 12, 2020.

Foreigners and stateless persons (hereinafter – foreigners) may obtain higher education at the Academy at the expense of individuals and / or legal entities, unless otherwise provided by international treaties of Ukraine, the binding nature of which is approved by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, legislation or agreements between higher education institutions on international academic mobility.

  1. Admission of foreigners to study is carried out on a competitive basis on the basis of agreements concluded by the Academy with legal entities and individuals.

In the case of submission of documents for non-accredited educational programs (specialties), the fact of acquaintance of a foreigner with Part Six of Article 7 of the Law of Ukraine “On Higher Education” is recorded in a written notification of awareness of the lack of accreditation and confirmed by his personal signature.

  1. Enrollment of foreign entrants to study for higher education is carried out twice a year:

1) twice a year, before and at the beginning of academic semesters, but not later than November 1 and March 1, respectively;

2) during the year for postgraduate studies.

  1. Applications and documents for admission are accepted at the Academy from:

January 10 to February 27;

July 1 to October 30.

The applicant submits the application in paper form in person to the admissions committee of the Academy at: Kyiv, Kharkivske Shose, 121, 3rd floor, room 307.

The information of each application in paper form is registered by the authorized person of the selection committee in EDEBO on the day of acceptance of the application.

In the application, the applicant indicates the tender proposal indicating the specialty (subject specialty, specialization, educational program) and the form of education.

The fact of familiarization of the applicant with the Admission Rules, the available license and the certificate on accreditation of the corresponding educational program (specialty), are recorded in the application of the applicant and confirmed by his personal signature when submitting the application.

In case of submission of documents for non-accredited educational programs (specialties), the fact of familiarization of the applicant with part six of Article 7 of the Law of Ukraine “On Higher Education” is recorded in the written notification of awareness of  the lack of accreditation and confirmed by his personal signature.

4. Foreigners submit the following documents for admission to the Academy:

1) standard  questionnaire;

2) a document of education and grades (scores) obtained from academic disciplines;

3) a document on the absence of HIV infection, unless otherwise provided by international agreements of Ukraine;

4) a medical certificate of health, certified by the official health authority of the country from which the foreigner arrived and issued not later than two months before leaving for study in Ukraine;

5) insurance policy for the provision of emergency medical care (except for foreigners who have arrived from countries with which agreements have been concluded on the provision of free emergency medical care);

6) birth certificate;

7) 6 photographs with a size of 60 × 40 mm.

The documents specified in sub-items “2”, “4”, “6” of item 9 must be certified in accordance with the legislation of the country of issue and legalized in the prescribed manner, unless otherwise provided by international treaties of Ukraine: The procedure of recognition and equivalence of the Document is mandatory, carried out in accordance with the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of No. 504 “Some issues of recognition in Ukraine of foreign educational documents” Ukraine on May 5, 2015, registered with the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine on May 27, 2015 for No. 614/27059, before the second semester.

  1. Competitive selection for the degree of Master of Medicine is based on the results of entrance examinations and on the basis of academic rights to continue education, provided by the document on the level of education in the country of origin, and taking into account the scores that entitle to continue studying at the next level of higher education in accordance with the legislation of the country that issued the document on the degree (level) of Education.

Competitive selection is carried out on the basis of a competitive score, which is calculated on the basis of a document on the previous level of education and the results of entrance exams in three competitive subjects – general education disciplines:

1st competitive subject – language of instruction (English);

2nd competitive subject – mathematics;

3rd competitive subject – biology / chemistry.

The minimum required for entry value of the average score of the document on the previous level of education – 100 points.

The minimum value required for entry is the number of points:

1st competitive subject – 100 points;

2nd competitive subject – 125 points;

3rd competitive subject – 125 points.

  1. The competition score is calculated by the following formula:

Competitive score (KB) = K1 * PI + K2 * P2 + KZ * PZ + K4 * A;

where PI, P2, PZ – grades of entrance exams in the first, second, third subject (on a scale of 100 – 200); A – the average score of the document on complete general secondary education, translated into a scale from 100 to 200.

Non-negative weights: K1 – 0.25; K2 – 0.30; KZ – 0.35; K4 – 0.1. 6. The competition score is calculated by the following formula:

Competitive score (KB) = K1 * PI + K2 * P2 + KZ * PZ + K4 * A;

where PI, P2, PZ – grades of entrance exams in the first, second, third subject (on a scale of 100 – 200); A – the average score of the document on complete general secondary education, translated into a scale from 100 to 200.

Non-negative weights: K1 – 0.25; K2 – 0.30; KZ – 0.35; K4 – 0.1.

  1. Entrance examinations are held in several streams according to the number of submitted applications. The results of entrance exams are evaluated on a scale from 100 to 200 points.
  2. Entrance exam programs are defined by the Academy and published on the website of the Academy. The programs contain evaluation criteria, evaluation structure and procedure for assessing the readiness of applicants. Evaluation criteria are the same for each discipline for all specialties and categories of admission.

The chairman of the admissions committee approved the procedure for evaluating the results of the entrance exam, which includes the structure of the final score.

  1. Entrance examinations for applicants – foreign citizens are conducted in accordance with the schedules of entrance tests defined by the admission rules; they are conducted in the form written tests. The duration of the written test is 60 minutes.

It is forbidden to use textbooks, manuals, other materials and technical means, etc. during the entrance exams. When using third-party sources of information (including prompts) during entrance examinations, the applicant is excluded from participating in them without warning, and a report is drawn up. In his/hers examination work, the teacher indicates the reason for removal and time of removal. During the test, such work is deciphered and it is evaluated by points below the minimum level, regardless of the volume and content of what is written.

  1. Grades of entrance examinations are announced the day after their holding on the information stands of the admissions committee and are published in full on the website of the Academy.
  2. The works of applicants performed by them at the entrance exams are stored in the personal files of applicants for higher education. The works of applicants performed by them at the entrance exams, which are not accepted for study, are stored for at least one year, after which they are destroyed, and a report is drawn up.
  3. Applicants who received a grade lower than the minimum score set by the admissions committee at one of the entrance exams are not allowed to participate in the next session and competitive selection for training.
  4. Those applicants, who without good reason (recognized as such by the decision of the Admissions Committee) did not appear for the entrance exams at the appointed time, those applicants whose knowledge was assessed by scores below the minimum set by the Rules of Admission, as well as applicants who took documents after the end date of accepting documents, are not allowed to participate in the next entrance tests and in competitive selection. Retake of entrance tests is not allowed.
  5. All categories of foreigners entering their studies are enrolled in the Academy on the basis of enrollment orders. Confirmation of the fact of training can be a certificate generated in EDEBO.
  6. Enrollment in the Academy with a positive difference between the licensed amount of training of foreign citizens and the number of foreign applicants is carried out according to the rating list. The ranking lists are formed by the admissions committee and published in full on the Academy’s website. Provided that the same rating score is available, the following have an advantage:

1) applicants who have the highest score in general education subjects from which entrance examinations are conducted;

2) applicants who have the highest average score of the document on education;

3) applicants who have the highest average score of the preparatory faculty;

4) applicants who have a secondary medical education;

5) applicants who have medical experience;

6) applicants who receive a second higher education.

The lists of recommended applicants are updated after applicants meet/fail the requirements for admission to study in accordance with Section X of these rules, taking into account their order in the rating list of applicants.

  1. Adjustment of the rating lists is possible on the basis of the official decision of the Appeal Commission to consider the appeal with the subsequent modification of EDEBO; an extract from the minutes of the meeting of the Appeal Commission shall be submitted to the Admissions Committee.
  2. The official announcement of the submission of recommendations for enrollment is the publication of the relevant decision on the stands of the Academy’s admissions committees and the Academy’s website.

Registered applicants can be notified via electronic and mobile communication.

  1. The lists of recommended applicants are updated after applicants meet/fail to meet the requirements for enrollment in training in accordance with these rules, taking into account their order in the rating list of applicants.
  2. By the decision of the Admissions Committee, the results of the entrance examination in the competitive subject for admission to a particular competitive proposal may be credited at the request of the applicant to participate in the competitive selection for another competitive proposal at the Academy.
  3. Appeals against the results of entrance examinations conducted by the Academy are considered by the Appellate Commission of the Academy, the composition and procedure of which were approved by the order of the Rector on December 29, 2021 No. 106. Applications for acquaintance with the mistakes made in the written work are submitted personally by applicants no later than the next working day after the announcement of the assessment of the entrance examination. Familiarization of the applicant with the written work is carried out no later than the next business day after submitting the application. Applications for appeals are submitted on the day of familiarization with errors in the written work and are considered within the next two working days. Additional questioning or testing of applicants when considering appeals is not allowed.

Appeals for exclusion from testing are not considered.

Working Hours of the Appeal Commission: July 14 – October 30 from 10:00 to 13:00 (except Sat. and Sun.).

  1. Renewal of applicants for higher education of the qualification level of a specialist on the basis of complete general secondary education or educational qualification level of a junior medical specialist who were expelled or interrupted in connection with academic leave, to continue their studies for obtaining a master’s degree on the basis of complete general secondary education or educational qualification level of a junior specialist in the same or related field of knowledge is carried out twice a year:

1) before and at the beginning of academic semesters (but not later than April 15 and November 1, respectively).

  1. The submitted original documents are stored in the institution of higher education throughout the period of study. An applicant whose last name, first name, patronymic has changed after receiving the education document on the basis of which the admission is made, shall additionally personally present to the admissions committee a certificate of state registration of the civil status act on the relevant change and the document issued on its basis, identifying the person whose information is entered into the EDEBO.
  2. In case of enrollment in the Academy, carried out by the order of the Rector of the Academy, a three-way agreement on the provision of educational services is concluded between the Academy, the applicant and an individual (legal entity) who orders a paid educational services for himself or another person, assuming financial obligation to pay it.
  3. Applicants who have received a recommendation and have not complied with the requirements for enrollment within the established time limits shall lose the right to enroll in studies in the current year.

Applicants who have received a recommendation and in a timely manner, have met the requirements for enrollment, are subject to enrollment.

VI. Adjustment of the list of recommended for enrollment

 

  1. The Admissions Committee shall revoke previously submitted recommendations to applicants who have not complied with the enrollment requirements provided for in Paragraph 1 of Section X of these Rules.
  2. Applicants recommended for training are required to meet the requirements for enrollment in accordance with these Admission Rules.

In case of enrollment within ten calendar days from the date of study, an additional agreement is concluded between the Academy, the applicant and the individual (legal entity) who orders a paid educational service for himself or for another person, assuming financial obligations to pay. In case of refusal to conclude the contract within the period specified in this paragraph, this order is canceled in terms of enrollment of such person. Tuition is paid in accordance with the agreement between the Academy and an individual (legal entity) who orders a paid educational service for himself or for another person, assuming financial obligations to pay for it.

  1. Procedure for adjusting the list of recommended for enrollment: in case of vacancy of places for enrollment, the next person in the rating list will be recommended. In the absence of such applicants by the decision of the selection committee for vacancies can be enrolled persons from another tender of the Academy by transferring the application (with the consent of the person) to another tender.

 

VII. Enrollment order

 

  1. Enrollment orders are issued by the rector on the basis of the decision of the admissions committee. Enrollment orders with appendices to them are formed in EDEBO and published on the information stand of the admissions committee and the website of the Academy in the form of a list of enrolled students in the period specified in section V of these Rules.
  2. The decision of the admissions committee on enrollment of the applicant may be revoked by the admissions committee in case of violations by the applicant: submission by the applicant of inaccurate personal data, inaccurate information about previous education,
  3. Enrolled individuals may be removed from the enrollment order (the enrollment order is revoked in the part concerning this person) to the institution of higher education at their own request. At the request of persons expelled from a higher education institution at their own request, the documents submitted by them shall be returned no later than the next day after the submission of the application for deduction.
  4. If an individual does not start classes within 10 calendar days from the start date without valid reasons, the enrollment order is canceled in the part concerning this person.
